North Warwickshire First Responders were delighted when they received a £10,000 grant from The National Lottery Community Fund this week.
The funds will be used to replace one of our vehicles with a fully equipped response vehicle with the latest in-car technology that gives a direct link to the ambulance emergency operations centre and custom made in car racking system to store equipment.
The vehicle, a Skoda Octavia Scout which has 4×4 capability will join our other Skoda Octavia Scout in providing our volunteers with the means to attend 999 life saving calls in the area.
Sam Hall, Group Coordinator said “This is excellent news for the charity. It allows us to continue to provide calls for service when requested to do so by the ambulance service in our local area. With the latest equipment installed and a direct link to the emergency control room we will find addresses quicker when seconds sometimes do matter. Thank you to the National Lottery Community Fund for this generous grant”.
